My passion for sewing started when I was in my teens – I loved sewing my own fashion, choosing the fabrics and patterns I liked and thus creating my own style. Having grown up in Switzerland where sewing is still integrated in children’s education, I had learned the skills while I was young, and could build on them learning more techniques in later years. As an adult I enjoyed making my own curtains and home decors, even doing funky repairs on my children’s clothes!
My desire is to pass this skill on to the younger generation, and for them to discover the fun sewing can be. I enjoy watching the expression on their faces when they look at their finished project, hardly able to believe that they made it! It builds their self-esteem, brings out their creativity and teaches them life-long skills they can build on.
